Our collaboration integrates clinical and genetic research with the development of secure data analysis platforms to improve the care of transplanted children across Europe.<\/p><\/section>\n<section class=\"sec\"><h3>What is our objective?<\/h3>\n<p>The main objective is to personalise treatments for transplanted children by identifying genetic and epigenetic biomarkers. This will enable tailored immunosuppressive therapies while reducing the risk of organ rejection, infections and other adverse reactions.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Granada, through the Youngner Chair in Empirical Bioethics (CYBE), leads WP11, ensuring compliance with ethical standards in the management and use of children’s health data for research and improved post-transplant care.<\/p><\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<section class=\"sec box\"><h3>What does the project involve?<\/h3>\n<p>PROTECT-CHILD develops an innovative infrastructure integrating clinical and genomic data from transplanted children, ensuring privacy and data security to support personalised medicine and optimise clinical outcomes.<\/p><\/section>\n<section class=\"sec\"><h3>How do we do it?<\/h3>\n<p>Within an observational medicinal study involving 200 paediatric liver and kidney transplant recipients, a secure platform will integrate clinical and genomic data from European hospitals.
