international researchers, clinical practitioners, legal experts and public policy makers interested in the empirical analysis and regulatory aspects related to medical assistance in dying (MAID) and other end-of-life practices, including palliative sedation, the withholding or withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment and advance care planning.\n            <\/p>\n\n            <p class=\"theme-highlight\">\n                Researchers, academics, professionals and students are invited to submit abstracts for short oral presentations.\n            <\/p>\n\n            <h3 The abstract must be related to the <strong>main theme of the conference<\/strong> and linked to one of its subtopics. Oral presentations will be grouped according to subtopics. The submitted abstract must be no longer than <strong>300 words<\/strong>.\n            <\/p>\n\n\n            <h3>\n                Abstract submission guidelines\n            <\/h3>\n\n            <ul>\n\n                <li>\n                    Proposals of <strong>up to 300 words<\/strong> are accepted on any of the conference&#8217;s thematic categories. Please make sure your proposal is consistent with the general theme of the programme.\n                <\/li>\n\n                <li>\n                    Provide relevant information about the <strong>perspective, thesis or objectives<\/strong> of the proposed presentation. Be sure to indicate your perspective and methodology.\n                <\/li>\n\n                <li>\n                    Show that your work is <strong>relevant<\/strong>. Demonstrate that your research is generalizable beyond the scope of your study and that the presentation could be of interest to people outside your institution.\n                <\/li>\n\n                <li>\n                    Make sure your proposal is <strong>novel<\/strong>.
